Palm Sunday was a triumph of faith over weather as a substantial crowd followed the Play through Lewes, to Cliffe Precinct and to Harvey's Yard. It was a privilege to be there although, having moved away, we won't be able to attend any of the other Acts. Well done to the cast, crew, writers, musicians and of course the marshalls and others who kept things moving.
We HAVE NOW BEGUN to populate a picture gallery of this year's events. See the link at the right hand side

Tomorrow as ever is!
By the time we wake tomorrow, Act 1 is imminent. Join us at St Anne's Church or Cliffe Precinct from 2 pm.
Our prayers and best wishes to all those involved in tomorrow's production whether as actors, behind the scenes, directing, marshalling or in any way. And our prayers too that the events which we recreate will speak powerfully of God's love for all people, in all ages, in all of the world, focussed through what Christians believe is the unique person of Jesus.
For something to think about, visit the main Passion Play website or share this prayer for the play

Four days to go ...
Please give thanks:
- for God’s amazing love expressed for us in the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and the opportunity to tell it together in our town.
- for warmth, fellowship and enjoyment in rehearsal
- for sending us a stage manager- for enthusiastic responses to the school workshops
- for a Palm Sunday instrumentalist in the precinct
Please pray:
- that all the detailed planning is honouring to our Lord Jesus Christ and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
- that the Passion Play will have a spiritual impact on our town.
- that it will draw Christians together in love and witness.
- that we’ll all be awake to openings to share the Lord Jesus as we chat about what we are doing.
Specifically:
- for publicity and promotion – that leaflets, articles, the town banner and Tourist information display will be effective and crowds of people will come
- for the coming together and smooth running of all elements of the production.
- for final rehearsals – that everyone in cast and production team will become one body, supporting one another. For those joining the team now may feel quickly welcomed in.
- for remembering of lines
- for final details of costume making
- for stage manager and crew
- for set builders, lighting and sound technicians
- for marshalling and safety matters
- for arrangements with the donkeys
- for final details of music and musicians
- for appropriate weather
- for good health and energy for everyone involved
- for the families and friends of those taking part
and that the Christian community across the town will have a growing sense of anticipation and excitement to use this opportunity for ongoing witness to our living Lord Jesus Christ.
We look forward to seeing you on Palm Sunday!

Calling all children (and their families)
Please spread the word to families with children who might like to be involved in the Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday performances and Good Friday and Maundy Thursday ‘crowd’ for Passion Play 2015.
As you will see the first children/crowd music rehearsal has probably already happened by the time you read this. As this is being posted, the rehearsal is today at Southover Church, at 2 p.m. All are welcome!
The subsequent rehearsals all tie in with full rehearsals.
Stella Hull (Musical Director) writes:
We should like to invite you to bring your children to be involved.
Do come and join us to retell the Passion of Jesus Christ this Easter on the streets of Lewes in four acts, each given on a different day to form a “Holy week experience” in real time.
Children (accompanied by parents/carers) are invited to take part in the music and the drama of Act 1 on Palm Sunday afternoon, March 29th, as the action moves through the streets (plus a donkey!) and/or in Act 4 on the joyful afternoon of April 5th, Easter Day itself.
Everyone is of course welcome to watch, or participate, as part of the crowd for Acts 2 and 3 on “Maundy” Thursday evening and Good Friday morning on April 2nd and 3rd. The performances fall within the first week of the Easter holidays.
Rehearsals for children (accompanied by parents/carers) will be mainly on Sunday afternoons:
March 1st, 2:00 – 3:00, at Southover Church (BN7 1JH)
March 8th, 2:00 – 3:30, at Christ Church, Prince Edwards Rd (BN7 1BL)
March 15th, 2:00 – 3:30, at Christ Church

Sat. March 28th, 9:30 – 12:30 Act 1(No LAMC music that day) at Kings Church, Brooks Rd (BN7 2BY)
Sat April 4th, 9:30 – 12:30 Act 4 at St Pancras Church, Irelands Lane (BN7 1QX)
